This was our first time staying in a tiny home and it definitely won’t be our last. The design of the home, especially the glass reflecting the surrounding forest, makes you feel completely connected to nature. Each morning we were greeted by the sounds of woodpeckers and wild turkeys, which made the experience even more special.
The location is beautiful, the deck and hot tub are perfect for relaxing, and the thoughtful finishing touches throughout the home made everything feel welcoming and well planned. Allen’s communication was exceptional. He provided step-by-step directions, helpful tips, and even a guidebook for the area.
Check-in was incredibly easy, and the fire pit quickly became one of our favorite parts of the stay. We truly loved our experience at The Staghorn and would absolutely return.

This stay is incredibly nice. Not only is it a neat place with mirrored glass, nice outdoor space, and hot tub, but it is very comfortable and fully stocked! The bed slept well, the robes provided warmth after getting out of the hot tub on a chilly night, and there was plenty of coffee for the next morning on the deck. Even though it’s technically a duplex, you don’t share any walls with the neighboring unit; the designers and builders did a great job making the space private. We were greeted by a turkey and several more showed up to wish us farewell. It’s only a 10-15 minute drive from town but you feel completely absorbed by nature.
Recommendations: if you’re looking for a relatively easy hike, try the Rock Bridge hike. We loved it and our pup wasn’t too exhausted afterwards. For food, obviously Miguel’s, but also try La Cabana the Mexican place; the food was delicious and their service was excellent. In the mornings, the Daniel Boone Coffee Shop has everything you need!
